Description

  • Research accounts, identify leads, and generate interest through cold and warm outreach to schools, districts, and charter networks.
  • Nurture responses and qualify prospects by learning about their instructional needs and fit for the organization’s services.
  • Drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation for account executives.
  • Conduct prospective client conversations by phone and video call.
  • Educate prospects, answer questions, and share resources to support the sales process.
  • Move qualified leads through the sales pipeline and schedule next-step meetings with account executives.
  • Proactively find new ways to grow the business and improve SDR workflows.
  • Create scalable processes for the SDR function.
  • Enter, maintain, and track sales data and activities in the sales database.
  • Measure and report on key performance metrics for outreach and lead generation.

Requirements

  • No issues making cold calls and ability to handle rejection with resilience.
  • Energetic, upbeat, and able to bring a positive attitude to outreach.
  • Empathetic and able to understand customer pain points and build rapport.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including asking clarifying questions.
  • Experience at an education organization focused on the K-12 space.
  • High emotional intelligence, hustle, a can-do attitude, and bias to action.
  • Ability to work effectively on a small team, wear many hats, and stay intrinsically motivated to meet or surpass self-created goals.
  • Computer savvy with business basics in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to learn or experience with tools such as a2z, Salesforce, and NetForum.
  • Commitment to educational equity.
  • Experience as a sales development representative or in a similar role (preferred).
  • Previous experience as an educator (preferred).
  • Experience as a founding team member (preferred).
  • Experience in ed tech or education sales (preferred).
