Description

  • Administer, monitor, maintain, and support customer-facing security and operational platforms.
  • Handle Tier 3 escalations by analyzing logs, configurations, connectivity, integrations, and system behavior.
  • Troubleshoot issues independently, restore service, and escalate architectural or business-critical matters appropriately.
  • Plan and test upgrades, patches, releases, production changes, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Configure and validate platforms, agents, policies, connectivity, and integrations for new-client onboarding.
  • Improve reliability, scalability, efficiency, and supportability through processes, scripts, tools, and automation.
  • Investigate and resolve outages and service-impacting incidents with internal teams and vendors.
  • Maintain runbooks, technical procedures, troubleshooting notes, standards, and platform documentation.
  • Collaborate with the SOC, Service Desk, Client Experience Managers, IT Operations, vendors, engineers, and architects.
  • Follow security-first practices, change management, access controls, and operational governance requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in IT, cybersecurity, systems administration, platform engineering, technical support, or a related field.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise technology environments beyond traditional Tier 1 or Tier 2 responsibilities.
  • Strong Windows knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing, and network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, endpoint security, identity, and access controls.
  • Methodical analytical approach to complex technical problems and strong attention to detail during production changes.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and determine when to seek guidance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in an MSSP, MSP, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology environment preferred.
  • Experience with EDR/XDR, SIEM, RMM, vulnerability management, email security, backup, disaster recovery, PowerShell, automation, APIs, or monitoring tools preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field, equivalent experience, or relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, or vendor certifications preferred.
