Description

  • Own end-to-end delivery of AI and data projects, personally building, operating data, configuring systems, or setting up infrastructure when needed.
  • Guide architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Define technical specifications, scope tasks, and drive consistent on-time delivery.
  • Lead, organize, and allocate work across an engineering team serving enterprise clients.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to maintain project alignment.
  • Monitor progress and optimize development processes for speed and efficiency.
  • Review work, provide actionable feedback, identify risks, and ensure quality before release.
  • Assess performance, mentor team members, and support their progression toward advanced work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience and at least 2 years leading teams, typically of 5–6 or more people.
  • Proven experience leading teams in startup or fast-moving, project-based environments under tight deadlines.
  • Expert-level, current hands-on engineering ability, including Python and JavaScript ecosystems.
  • Strong data fluency, including statistical analysis, data manipulation, data quality, and tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
  • Ability to lead data validation, cleansing, and enrichment efforts.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Background in AI, data science, or data engineering preferred.
  • AI, fine-tuning, or custom-data experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Availability to work Pacific Time business hours while based remotely in Brazil or Colombia.
