Description

  • Own the end-to-end field engagement workflow from resourcing and readiness through execution and closeout.
  • Maintain the field engagement tracker and drive pre-deployment planning discipline.
  • Coordinate field hardware readiness, including imaging, configuration, software versioning, testing, and shipping.
  • Maintain standard hardware loadouts and partner with Engineering, IT, and DevOps on deployments and demos.
  • Create and manage the field asset-management system, including inventory, custody, location, status, and lifecycle tracking.
  • Own the field knowledge base, including SOPs, checklists, templates, and after-action reviews.
  • Translate product updates into field guidance, coordinate daily situation reports, and provide operational updates to leadership.
  • Build the Field Engineering readiness model, including onboarding pathways, readiness requirements, enablement sessions, and assessments.
  • Partner with Field Engineering, Mission Operations, Product, Engineering, Security, BD, and leadership to support successful field engagements.
  • Build and eventually lead a team to own these operational functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Field Operations, Technical Enablement, Customer Success, or Systems Engineering focused on building and scaling operational systems.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing teams.
  • Proven experience turning informal or ad-hoc processes into repeatable, scalable operating models.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation, data routing, and operational tooling.
  • Experience supporting production software in mission-critical, disconnected, or hybrid environments.
  • Working understanding of networking, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and operational reliability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create documentation and standardized operating procedures.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance preferred.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community software programs, including RMF, ATO, or IATT preferred.
  • Experience with field enablement, field resource management, tactical edge deployments, or managing software/hardware at the tactical edge preferred.
  • Dual technical engineering and operational management background is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and mission software ecosystems preferred.
