Description

  • Translate spoken English dialogue into French while preserving tone, context, and cultural nuances.
  • Localize subtitles for television shows, films, documentaries, and other media content.
  • Edit subtitles to align with audio cues, visual pacing, readability, timing, and formatting standards.
  • Use industry-standard subtitle editing tools to produce technically compliant subtitle files.
  • Proofread and review subtitles for grammar, spelling, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement feedback and revisions.
  • Manage multiple projects and coordinate with project managers and editors.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet platform-specific technical and linguistic guidelines.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native French proficiency at C1/C2 level, with strong knowledge of regional dialects and cultural references.
  • Strong English proficiency at C1/C2 level for spoken and written comprehension.
  • 1–2 years of experience in subtitle translation or editing in French.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven translation and localization tools.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with media content.
  • Living in Ukraine.
  • Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field in French is preferred.
  • Experience with streaming platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards is preferred.
