Description

  • Architect and scale AWS infrastructure, including container orchestration, autoscaling, networking, and cost optimization.
  • Build the observability and alerting platform from the ground up and own it through production deployment.
  • Lead infrastructure work for compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and HIPAA.
  • Harden container workloads and secrets management across production, staging, and isolated compliance environments.
  • Own shared infrastructure components such as Postgres, Redis, and Celery, including performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a focus on deployment speed, reliability, and security.
  • Extend and maintain Terraform infrastructure code to keep environments reproducible and audit-ready.
  • Define and own reliability practices, including SLOs, incident response, and post-mortems.
  • Reduce deploy friction, improve development environments, and eliminate operational toil for engineering teams.
  • Share on-call responsibilities, lead incident response, and ensure fixes are shipped after production issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS and operating/scaling Kubernetes clusters in production.
  • Strong understanding of container orchestration, networking, and security in cloud-native environments.
  • Solid Infrastructure as Code experience, with Terraform strongly preferred.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with modern tooling.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Proven ability to own projects end-to-end from scoping through operation.
  • Ability to write clear decision documents such as ADRs and RFCs and explain tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience building infrastructure from scratch at a fast-moving company or startup.
  • Preferred experience with SOC 2 or HIPAA compliance in regulated industries such as fintech, healthcare, or government.
  • Preferred experience with event-driven autoscaling and async task systems such as Celery, SQS, or KEDA.
  • Preferred experience with isolated or partitioned cloud environments for regulated workloads.
  • Preferred Python scripting experience for automation and tooling.
  • Preferred experience administering, tuning, and scaling relational databases in production.
  • Preferred background in cost optimization and FinOps practices.
  • Preferred experience with secrets management and Kubernetes package management.
