Description

Develop and sustain connectors between Trustly and financial institutions (direct integrations such as REST APIs and other connector technologies).
Design, build, and maintain backend services (using Java) that power integrations and transaction flows.
Develop and maintain APIs used by Trustly and partner systems.
Monitor connector health and transaction success/failure rates and take corrective actions to maintain high product quality.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to missing or inconsistent data in HTTP transactions.
Search for solutions to complex problems within a defined scope and propose pragmatic technical approaches.
Apply appropriate software architectures and design patterns to concrete, day-to-day engineering problems.
Implement front-end features when required, working with frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js, or plain JavaScript.

Requirements

Degree in a related IT field.
Experience as a full-stack developer with web development background.
Backend development experience with Java (experience with .NET is also noted, but this role uses Java).
Understanding of different software architectures and the ability to apply design patterns appropriately.
Basic knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with a commercial relational database.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular2+, React, or Vue.js and with pure JavaScript (preferred).
Familiarity with non-relational databases (preferred).
Ability to analyze non-performing SQL queries and implement optimizations (preferred).
Experience building and troubleshooting REST APIs and handling HTTP transaction issues.
