Description

  • Own data models within the lakehouse, including SQL performance, documentation, testing, and data integrity.
  • Architect the semantic layer and analytical structures for self-service BI and AI-assisted exploration.
  • Partner with marketing, engineering, and senior leadership on analytical workstreams and roadmap decisions.
  • Deliver concise, data-driven recommendations to executives and other stakeholders.
  • Manage recurring reporting, including the 13-week Marketing Monitor covering sales, revenue channels, and unit economics.
  • Scale and optimize dashboards used for weekly strategic planning and calibration.
  • Monitor pipeline freshness and data quality, investigate anomalies, and distinguish noise from meaningful business changes.
  • Translate business questions into scoped analyses using Snowflake and SQL, then provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities across business data.
  • Mentor junior analysts and establish team-wide standards for methodology, documentation, and communication.

Requirements

  • 5–9+ years of experience in analytics, data science, data engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup with ambiguous data, limited resources, and shifting priorities.
  • Experience building data models, evaluating data pipelines, and owning a data domain end to end.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, complex joins, and query optimization on large datasets.
  • Proficiency with Python and analytical libraries including pandas or polars, statsmodels, scikit-learn, and matplotlib or seaborn.
  • Experience with ThoughtSpot, Omni, or equivalent BI and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with dbt and analytical modeling approaches such as activity schemas and star schemas.
  • Strong experimentation, statistical analysis, stakeholder communication, and business recommendation skills.
  • Must reside in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, Nevada, or Utah.
  • Preferred: experience in a regulated consumer industry, PLG or B2B2C models, building analytics functions, or AI-assisted self-service analytics.
