Description

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks for web, API, and data pipeline platforms.
  • Define and promote quality engineering best practices, standards, and processes across the team and broader engineering organization.
  • Evaluate and recommend new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to embed quality practices throughout the SDLC.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and mentoring to junior quality engineers.
  • Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback on test automation code.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Analyze application and system architectures to identify quality risks and design effective test strategies.
  • Perform exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing for complex features.
  • Identify, isolate, report, and track defects while working with developers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing.
  • Stay current on software testing and quality assurance trends and apply improvements to existing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Pytest, or JUnit/TestNG.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Extensive experience with API testing and automation tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and lead.
