Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines using Databricks.
  • Develop data processing solutions with Apache Spark and PySpark.
  • Work with large-scale datasets and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies.
  • Design and maintain Delta Lake and Delta Table solutions.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests for Databricks workloads.
  • Implement and manage Databricks Workflows for pipeline orchestration.
  • Work with Parquet and other columnar storage formats to optimize processing and storage.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into data engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable data solutions.
  • Apply software development and data engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong Apache Spark expertise, including experience delivering solutions on Databricks.
  • Advanced Python and data engineering skills, including PySpark and Pandas.
  • Experience developing and maintaining unit tests for Databricks workloads.
  • Understanding of columnar storage formats such as Parquet.
  • Hands-on experience with Delta Lake and Delta Tables.
  • Experience with performance tuning across small to large data volumes.
  • Hands-on experience building data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines and using Databricks Workflows.
  • Conversational English at B2 level or higher and conversational Ukrainian.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Databricks DevOps, CI/CD, software development lifecycles, distributed data processing, enterprise data platforms, and distributed cross-functional teams.
