Description

  • Manage and develop the Accounts Payable team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
  • Ensure vendors are paid on time in accordance with payment terms.
  • Monitor aging reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Support external audit requests.
  • Oversee 1099 reporting and compliance.
  • Optimize AP workflows and automation tools such as ERP and AP software.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and mitigate risk.
  • Partner cross-functionally to streamline procurement-to-pay processes.
  • Ensure accurate AP accruals and support month-end close.
  • Provide reporting and analysis related to payables and cash disbursements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounts payable experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in digital healthcare (preferred).
  • Experience with NetSuite (preferred).
  • Exposure to system implementations or AP automation initiatives (preferred).
  • Experience managing multi-state or multi-currency payables (preferred).
