Description

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Conduct tax research and stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide tax advice and planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liabilities.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify tax-related questions.
  • Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Help develop and improve standard operating procedures for tax preparation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client and team interactions.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks.
  • Work closely with remote colleagues and managers to meet deadlines and deliver client service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills for interpreting complex tax issues.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tax return preparation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and tax systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Dedicated home office space with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Commitment to work 35-40 hours per week.
