Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers delivering strategic initiatives.
  • Operate as a player-coach by personally managing complex, highly visible projects.
  • Assign work based on business priorities, project complexity, team capacity, and development needs.
  • Set performance expectations, provide feedback, conduct reviews, and support career growth.
  • Oversee project plans, status updates, risks, issues, budgets, and executive communications.
  • Translate executive objectives into project charters, scope, requirements, work plans, milestones, and governance structures.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and executive-level reporting across cross-functional initiatives.
  • Develop business cases, implementation recommendations, and resource plans for prioritization decisions.
  • Maintain portfolio visibility through dashboards, roadmaps, schedules, RAID logs, and governance materials.
  • Lead acquisition integration planning and execution when assigned.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project, program, or strategic initiative management in IT, professional services, or a similarly complex environment.
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience, including coaching project managers and managing performance.
  • Demonstrated success as a player-coach leading a team while delivering complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and report portfolio status to senior leadership.
  • Successful track record delivering business and technology initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of project/program management methodologies, governance, requirements management, risk management, and change management.
  • PMP, PgMP, CSM, or comparable certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs and develop business cases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools including Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
