Description

  • Build and own the vision, strategy, and execution plan for Toptal’s services function across all service lines.
  • Define the organizational structure and leadership model for the Services teams.
  • Provide hands-on operational leadership with clear accountability across service lines and functions.
  • Translate business and operational goals into detailed operational roadmaps.
  • Establish scalable processes and systems that improve delivery excellence, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal on strategic priorities and company-wide initiatives.
  • Drive a high-performance culture aligned with delivery excellence, scalability, and evolving business needs.
  • Assess service-line structures, capabilities, processes, and performance metrics early in the role.
  • Sponsor and oversee initiatives that improve capacity planning, delivery consistency, and client satisfaction.
  • Scale operational infrastructure, technology, and processes to support growth and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing complex service organizations and multiple business units.
  • Proven track record leading multi-service line operations with accountability for P&L, growth, and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute scalable operational strategies that drive efficiency, client satisfaction, and sustainable growth.
  • Experience at a technology company or hyper-growth company is strongly preferred.
  • Management consulting experience at a top-tier firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or investment banking experience is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions in ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence executives and clients.
  • Experience driving cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, delivery, and support functions.
  • Excellent organization skills, adaptability, ownership mindset, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work remotely from the US, communicate in English, and participate in virtual team meetings on camera.
  • Must be a world-class individual contributor and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
