Description

  • Lead a team of engineers to build and maintain products used internally and externally.
  • Set goals and objectives for the team and individual team members.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders, Product Managers, and leadership.
  • Create a productive, enjoyable team environment and provide frequent feedback.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, code reviews, and decisions that maintain high code quality.
  • Resolve technical and interpersonal issues as needed.
  • Mentor team members and support their career growth.
  • Track progress, assess risks, and coordinate delivery with contingency plans.
  • Lead the recruiting and hiring process for the team.
  • Work closely with users and stakeholders to define functional specifications when needed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with back-end, front-end technologies, and databases.
  • 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, PostgreSQL/Supabase, clean code, development, and automated testing.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful products as both an engineer and engineering manager.
  • Experience managing small teams with high autonomy and low process overhead.
  • Ability to evaluate trade-offs across implementation time, performance, failure tolerance, security, and maintainability.
  • Strong code review skills and the ability to distinguish good code from bad code.
  • Active experience as an AI-first engineer using tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
  • Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, Redis, Kafka, NextJS, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL, GCP, or AWS is a plus.
  • Experience with data labeling, media processing, PDF manipulation, AI agents, MCP servers, or LLM training components is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear writing, direct feedback, and facilitation.
  • Must be a world-class individual contributor and able to work in English.
  • This is a remote position, and visa sponsorship or assistance is not offered.
