Description

  • Partner with Engineering Managers to drive releases from code complete to production and keep engineering, QA, and product handoffs on track.
  • Lead release operations by consolidating readiness signals, risks, defects, and dependency status into a go/no-go view.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, identify sequencing risks, and support scope and ship-date decisions.
  • Own release communications, including release notes and recurring release summaries for product, support, and leadership.
  • Design and run cross-functional operational programs that improve team effectiveness and deliver measurable results.
  • Embed operational programs into existing release, testing, onboarding, and support workflows so they scale without adding overhead.
  • Track, report, and maintain the platform organization’s operational KPIs and reporting cadence.
  • Maintain data hygiene and metric definitions to keep reporting accurate as the organization grows.
  • Manage the automation backlog by building quick-win automations and scoping larger efforts for engineering.
  • Turn tribal knowledge into durable documentation, runbooks, and self-service workflows that reduce individual dependency and improve onboarding.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical operations, release management, program management, or platform operations.
  • End-to-end ownership of operational systems or processes.
  • Experience managing workflows, releases, and versioning in Jira or similar tools.
  • Automation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to coordinate releases across engineering, QA, and product.
  • Track record of turning ad hoc processes into durable systems, runbooks, automations, and standards.
  • Strong written communication skills for release notes, runbooks, and status updates.
  • Ability to decide when to act directly versus escalate, while managing competing priorities across multiple release trains.
  • Experience replacing manual operational work with scripting, APIs, AI tools, workflow automation platforms, or similar technologies.
  • Comfort working in a remote, Slack-heavy async environment.
  • Familiarity with trading, fintech, brokerage, or another regulated environment is a plus.
  • Exposure to exchange operations or reporting such as CME is especially preferred.
  • Experience driving change within startup environments is preferred.
