Description

  • Own Commerce’s frontend layer end to end, including consuming service APIs, building typed interfaces, and delivering polished, accessible user experiences.
  • Break down complex product and business requirements into an iterative roadmap and sequence implementations correctly.
  • Work independently to execute frontend work without step-by-step direction while moving product work forward quickly.
  • Champion the customer experience across commerce surfaces by identifying friction, UX gaps, and recurring customer issues.
  • Build reusable, well-typed React components on top of Together’s UI Platform and component library.
  • Instrument, measure, and verify feature success using product analytics, web vitals, and error rates.
  • Catch and address edge cases and failure modes in commerce flows, including payment failures, quota overages, upgrade blockers, and inconsistent billing states.
  • Partner with product, design, and backend engineers to make pragmatic UX decisions and unblock product delivery when needed.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of frontend engineering experience building and shipping production features to real users.
  • Strong React fundamentals in production, including complex, stateful UIs.
  • Strong TypeScript proficiency, including designing clean typed interfaces across components, API boundaries, and application state.
  • Strong observability habits, including instrumenting what you ship and using data to guide follow-up improvements.
  • Ability to absorb complex product and business requirements and translate them into correctly sequenced frontend implementations.
  • Fluency consuming APIs, including reading schemas, understanding data shapes, and handling loading and error states.
  • Experience with Next.js, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui is a meaningful plus.
  • Experience with billing, payments, or usage-based pricing UIs is a strong differentiator, including Stripe SDKs, metering displays, subscription states, checkout flows, or enterprise invoicing.
