Description

  • Own and evolve the product strategy for Toast’s configuration platform.
  • Design systems for safely managing critical business data changes, including validation, versioning, auditability, and rollback at scale.
  • Build and evolve a configuration platform that supports SMB, multi-unit operator, and enterprise use cases.
  • Explore and integrate automation and AI-assisted workflows into configuration and publishing experiences.
  • Develop platform capabilities that let other Toast teams build, test, and deploy configuration-driven features independently.
  • Build and maintain a roadmap aligned with business OKRs, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Drive feature development from ideation through launch, including writing specs, collaborating with engineering and design, and measuring success.
  • Partner with customer-facing teams and other development teams to gather insights and evangelize product value.
  • Lead a development team in partnership with engineering and design by setting priorities and providing clear direction.
  • Advocate for AI tools to accelerate product discovery, streamline execution, and shape new product experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably with platform or POS products.
  • Strong track record of delivering user-facing features in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience working on systems involving APIs, data models, or distributed architecture.
  • Strong analytical rigor and the ability to use data to make decisions and validate assumptions.
  • Empathy for restaurants and a passion for improving their day-to-day experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience with AI tools is preferred.
  • Experience with platform products at scale is preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $159,000 to $254,000 in Zone A, $138,000 to $221,000 in Zone B, or $125,000 to $200,000 in Zone C.
  • Additional total rewards may include cash compensation such as overtime and eligible bonus or commissions.
