Description

Own and evolve the product strategy for Toast’s configuration platform.
Design systems for safely managing critical business data changes, including validation, versioning, auditability, and rollback at scale.
Build and evolve a configuration platform that supports SMB, multi-unit operator, and enterprise use cases.
Explore and integrate automation and AI-assisted workflows into configuration and publishing experiences.
Develop platform capabilities that let other Toast teams build, test, and deploy configuration-driven features independently.
Build and maintain a roadmap aligned with business OKRs, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
Drive feature development from ideation through launch, including writing specs, collaborating with engineering and design, and measuring success.
Partner with customer-facing teams and other development teams to gather insights and evangelize product value.
Lead a development team in partnership with engineering and design by setting priorities and providing clear direction.
Advocate for AI tools to accelerate product discovery, streamline execution, and shape new product experiences.

Requirements

5+ years of product management experience, preferably with platform or POS products.
Strong track record of delivering user-facing features in fast-paced environments.
Experience working on systems involving APIs, data models, or distributed architecture.
Strong analytical rigor and the ability to use data to make decisions and validate assumptions.
Empathy for restaurants and a passion for improving their day-to-day experience.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.
Experience with AI tools is preferred.
Experience with platform products at scale is preferred.

Benefits

Competitive base salary of $159,000 to $254,000 in Zone A, $138,000 to $221,000 in Zone B, or $125,000 to $200,000 in Zone C.
Additional total rewards may include cash compensation such as overtime and eligible bonus or commissions.
