Description

  • Provide technical expertise for deploying applications on the Azure Databricks platform.
  • Support multiple engineering and operations teams with technical solutions.
  • Develop platform architecture blueprints and solution documentation.
  • Bridge gaps between platform teams, application teams, and central architecture teams.
  • Identify gaps in current platform capabilities and help define solution roadmaps.
  • Guide junior engineers and help develop them into individual-contributor leaders.
  • Monitor cluster health, performance, scheduling queues, and message handling.
  • Handle backups, recovery, node commissioning, and node decommissioning.
  • Support code deployment to production and perform server log analysis.
  • Monitor scheduled reports and backup processes.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Azure Databricks Administrator or in a similar platform administration role.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and Azure Databricks application deployment.
  • Experience with application memory management and performance management.
  • Experience managing clusters, scheduling queues, messages, and recovery processes.
  • Knowledge of Hive connections, Kafka, Spark, MapReduce, and Tez.
  • Familiarity with Azure HDInsight, storage accounts, Storage Explorer, and Key Vaults.
  • Experience with user group administration and privilege checks.
  • Experience supporting code deployment to production and analyzing server logs.
  • Ability to create documentation for technical solutions.
  • Self-motivated with experience in software engineering, architecture, and large-scale delivery in an agile environment.
