Description

  • Own and execute the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for the payments ecosystem, including checkout, gateways, routing, fraud, refunds, treasury, and reconciliation.
  • Define, prioritize, and deliver product improvements that increase conversion, reduce friction, and support global scale.
  • Partner with engineering and design to ship high-quality user experiences and robust back-end systems.
  • Integrate and maintain third-party payment providers and evaluate new payment options such as local methods, wallets, and bank debits.
  • Ensure payment solutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements, including PCI, PSD2, and SCA.
  • Monitor the performance, adoption, and reliability of payment systems using data and user feedback.
  • Work with customer success and support to identify and resolve payment-related user pain points.
  • Stay current on global payment trends, technologies, and fintech regulations, and bring forward ideas aligned with company growth.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally with direct ownership of payment products or platforms.
  • Proven experience building and scaling payments systems in a SaaS, fintech, or eCommerce environment.
  • Deep understanding of payment infrastructure, including gateway integrations, card networks, fraud prevention, settlements, and chargebacks.
  • Strong technical fluency and comfort working closely with engineers and reading API documentation.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to define metrics, measure impact, and iterate quickly.
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams focused on customer-centric solutions.
  • Experience with global payment methods, subscriptions, recurring billing, or tax compliance tools.
  • Experience with payments orchestration systems and/or treasury systems is a plus.
  • Experience using AI agents and building AI tools and agents.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Pragmatic, AIPMM, CSPO, or fintech/payments certifications such as ETA CPP are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Equivalent practical experience in product management, payments, or fintech may substitute for formal education.
