Description

  • Own low-voltage product lines including panelboards, switchboards, switchgear, and ATS products.
  • Build, develop, and manage a team of Technical Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Establish a department with primary points of contact and subject matter experts for low-voltage power distribution products.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and upskill team members while providing ongoing guidance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Engineering, and other teams to align technical product management activities with company strategy.
  • Set product strategy direction for low-voltage product offerings.
  • Align technical product management capacity with prioritized assignments.
  • Coordinate with vendors on product maintenance activities such as obsolescence and redesign.
  • Advance product lifecycle management processes and tools for product management teams.
  • Support industrialization of new product introductions, including coordination with NPI, Sales/Estimating, ERP systems, and operational readiness.
  • Monitor staff performance, communicate delays or obstacles, and ensure work is delivered to IEM standards and timelines.
  • Track, analyze, and report data and statistics to evaluate team effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related science field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the power distribution equipment industry or a closely related industry, preferably directly with switchgear.
  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience directly managing staff.
  • Experience with low-voltage switchgear product design and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including UL891, UL67, UL1558, ANSI C37.20.1, and NEC/CEC.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work through ambiguity.

  • Base salary range of $160,000 to $205,000 per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
