Description

  • Collaborate with business analysts, designers, project managers and other teammates to design software solutions.
  • Write clean, iterative, reusable code and advocate for better engineering practices.
  • Use TDD, pair programming and design patterns to develop software.
  • Promote continuous delivery practices to ship high-quality software early and often.
  • Build innovative customer experiences in collaborative, value-driven teams.
  • Create large-scale distributed systems using microservices.
  • Work with teammates to build features, design concepts and interactive prototypes.
  • Apply Thoughtworks Technology Radar guidance to solve client problems.
  • Use DevSecOps tools and practices to build and deploy software securely.
  • Participate in the full software consulting and delivery lifecycle from ideation through deployment.
  • Mentor less-experienced peers through technical guidance and leadership.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with the full stack, including Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Solid grounding in object-oriented programming.
  • Proven ability to write high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code.
  • Comfort with Agile methodologies such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or Kanban.
  • Strong understanding of TDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and Docker (preferred).
  • Ability to influence others while advocating for technical excellence.
  • Willingness to share expertise through speaking, open source contributions, blogs or similar community involvement.
  • Resilience in ambiguous situations and ability to approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
