Description

  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for equipment startups and integrated system testing across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Attend project meetings and serve as a point of contact for scheduling, milestone tracking, and field readiness.
  • Track project status, communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders, and escalate schedule risks proactively.
  • Review schedules, submittals, and commissioning plans to identify risks and scheduling conflicts ahead of time.
  • Manage resource coordination across active projects, balancing technician availability with project demand.
  • Work closely with the mechanical install Project Manager to align installation milestones with commissioning readiness.
  • Collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and customers to confirm all pre-startup requirements are complete.
  • Serve as a liaison between ThermalWorks, customers, general contractors, and PM teams during installation and commissioning.
  • Own and oversee flush and fill procedures in the field, ensuring execution to company standards and equipment specifications.
  • Conduct post-startup follow-ups, address punch list items, and ensure professional project closeout.

Requirements

  • Background in mechanical systems, HVAC, or a related field through formal education, technical training, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of pipe design and mechanical system layouts.
  • Hands-on commissioning experience with an understanding of startup sequencing and system verification processes.
  • Familiarity with flush and fill procedures for closed-loop hydronic or process cooling systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, pumps, and process cooling equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting updates in project and client meetings.
  • Proficiency with standard project management and scheduling tools such as MS Project, Excel, or similar.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC/R, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience with industrial cooling equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with commissioning documentation standards such as ASHRAE or ACG preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent training preferred.
