Description

  • Cultivate and deepen relationships with partners across sectors to broaden the coalition.
  • Coordinate across workstreams, track deliverables, and keep multi-stakeholder projects on realistic timelines.
  • Support the scoping and launch of new domain initiatives and/or grantmaking.
  • Help plan and run convenings, briefings, and workshops.
  • Coordinate with the communications team on launches, media moments, and public-facing events.
  • Articulate the principles of the Pro-Human AI Declaration in external-facing work.
  • Help build momentum for the Futures Program’s pro-human AI tracks, including coalition-building and real-world examples of Tool AI.
  • Report directly to the Director of the Futures Program and help keep initiatives moving forward.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in project or program management with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver to ambitious timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting partnerships across political affiliations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to non-expert audiences.
  • Genuine intellectual interest in AI, technology policy, and the question of what a good human future with AI looks like.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, self-direct work, manage time and energy well, and translate work into real output.
  • Applicants are strongly preferred to be based in the United States.
  • Experience launching or scaling initiatives, coalitions, or movements from conception to growth is preferred.
  • Experience in issue advocacy or campaigning is preferred.
  • Prior work at the intersection of science/technology and policy, or direct experience building new technologies, is preferred.
