Description

  • Assist with payer contracting efforts, including provider applications, contract analysis, negotiations, and credentialing for facilities and medical and clinical providers.
  • Ensure medical and clinical staff are credentialed in accordance with payer requirements.
  • Support identification of new hire credentialing needs so credentials align with payer requirements.
  • Review and prepare credentialing and re-credentialing applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work with providers and the credentialing team to gather required information and complete credentialing processes.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, and Finance to identify managed care contract growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate contract proposals and support negotiation of favorable contract rates with leadership.
  • Serve as a direct liaison between payers and ARS facilities regarding contracts, addendums, and credentialing needs.
  • Conduct quality control audits of files, remediate errors, and help prevent future issues.
  • Prepare internal and external reports and work with billing to address non-participation or disenrolled providers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in provider or payer contracting and credentialing.
  • Knowledge of hospital and/or behavioral health contracting and reimbursement.
  • Experience with CAQH requirements, profiles, and credentialing/re-credentialing applications for facilities.
  • Strong computer knowledge and ability to work with company-required software and security standards.
  • Must use a personal computer that meets the company’s technical requirements, including Windows 11 with the latest updates installed.
  • Must have an up-to-date antivirus solution plus a working camera and microphone.
  • Chromebooks and Apple computers are not compatible.
  • Must live in the U.S. and reside in the Eastern Time or Central Time zone.
  • Experience supporting managed care contracts and contract negotiations is a plus.
