Description

  • Write seven aggregated news blurbs per day.
  • Refocus stories reported by other outlets for The Real Deal’s audience.
  • Highlight the issues most important to local real estate professionals.
  • File stories that are clean, comprehensible, and interesting.
  • Work closely with an editor to improve framing, writing, and journalistic skills.
  • Develop a strong sense of The Real Deal’s voice and news judgment.

Requirements

  • Strong writing skills.
  • Background in journalism.
  • Experience in beat reporting is helpful.
  • Ability to work well with an editor and learn from feedback.
  • Willingness to learn and comfort taking feedback.
  • Knowledge of real estate and business is a plus, but not required.
  • Must have a presence in Texas for this remote role.
