Description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and infrastructure for Terra's products and AI platform.
  • Build reusable integrations with third-party platforms, business systems, and external APIs.
  • Develop scalable workflows and automation for internal operations and customer-facing experiences.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to turn ideas into production-ready features.
  • Prototype new solutions quickly, validate assumptions, and evolve them into reliable products.
  • Extend and integrate existing platforms such as CMSs, automation tools, and business systems.
  • Use AI development tools to accelerate implementation and improve engineering productivity.
  • Design reliable, secure, maintainable systems that other developers can build upon.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, improve performance, and simplify architecture and developer workflows.
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, testing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building scalable applications, platforms, or backend services.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Experience solving ambiguous technical problems with pragmatic, scalable solutions.
  • Experience building software that addresses real business problems across different customers, industries, or use cases.
  • Comfort working across the technology stack and integrating APIs, third-party platforms, content systems, and business tools.
  • Experience extending existing platforms, including CMS integrations and custom solutions on top of existing products.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and domains quickly.
  • Experience owning projects end-to-end from architecture and implementation to deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to use AI development tools effectively by guiding and reviewing outputs critically.
  • Comfort working in collaborative, cross-functional teams and communicating with engineering, product, and design.
  • Experience writing clean, maintainable code in fast-moving environments.
  • Familiarity with remote, asynchronous, or distributed team environments is implied by the role's permanent remote setup.
