Description

  • Develop verification strategies for instruction fetch, prediction, decode, queues, and dispatch logic.
  • Create constrained-random tests, assertions, functional coverage, and verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Debug RTL and simulation failures using waveforms and standard simulation tools.
  • Investigate complex processor behavior and identify root causes of functional issues.
  • Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL designers, DV engineers, and software teams.
  • Verify speculative execution, branches, redirects, exceptions, and pipeline flush corner cases.
  • Translate architectural specifications and microarchitectural designs into comprehensive RTL verification plans.
  • Ensure front-end correctness and performance across diverse workloads and corner cases.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of design verification experience with CPUs, SoCs, ASICs, or other complex digital designs.
  • Strong experience with SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Experience with constrained-random testing, assertions, functional coverage, and testbench development.
  • Solid understanding of CPU architecture, including pipelines, instruction fetch/decode, branch prediction, speculative execution, or out-of-order execution.
  • Experience debugging RTL and simulation failures with waveforms and standard tools.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python.
  • Ability to collaborate across architecture, RTL, design verification, and software teams.
  • Hands-on, proactive problem-solving approach with interest in high-performance RISC-V CPUs.
  • Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology, including any required citizenship, residency, or government authorization.
