Description

  • Gather requirements and source, clean, and quality-assure clinical data.
  • Curate inpatient source data and translate EHR documentation into defined, reproducible measures.
  • Build, automate, and maintain data extracts, interactive reports, dashboards, and self-service products.
  • Validate metric logic with nursing, service line, and informatics stakeholders to ensure measures reflect bedside workflows.
  • Serve as a primary contact for customer operations teams and support ongoing customer engagement and presentations.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to identify operational improvement opportunities and support predictive models and applications.
  • Monitor production reports and data pipelines, investigate unexpected metric changes, and lead remediation.
  • Support performance-improvement initiatives involving length of stay, throughput, capacity, care variation, documentation compliance, and quality measures.
  • Contribute to shared SQL, version-control, and report-development standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of clinical data analytics experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Data Science, Engineering, Business/Finance, or Health Sciences; master’s degree in Public Health, Data Science, Business Administration, or Statistics; or relevant experience and project portfolio.
  • Proficiency in SQL querying, data manipulation, stored procedures, and query optimization, preferably with Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience using and configuring business intelligence tools; Power BI and SAP BusinessObjects tools are preferred.
  • EHR analytics experience, with Epic Clarity and Caboodle highly desired.
  • Knowledge of inpatient clinical documentation and ability to extract data based on workflow descriptions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Git, issue trackers, CI, code reviews, and Agile development practices (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS services, Delta Lake or Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python (preferred).
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, ICD, SNOMED, and LOINC, or machine-learning data workflows (preferred).
