Description

  • Support the design of small to mid-size telecom projects under the guidance of a mentor or team lead.
  • Work with clients, manufacturers, contractors, and internal design team members to deliver projects from start to finish.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and project reports for clients.
  • Assist with fee development, proposals, and interview coordination with marketing.
  • Attend client meetings and programming sessions, prepare meeting notes, and document design decisions.
  • Design, coordinate, and engineer systems including telecom, security, network, audiovisual, acoustics, and Wi-Fi.
  • Prepare and delegate mark-ups for Revit models and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Perform job site inspections to assess existing conditions and construction progress.
  • Track project decisions, budgets, schedules, and due dates to help meet on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Support internal team meetings, improve processes, share technical knowledge, and assist with opinions of probable construction cost when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecom or structured cabling/low voltage design for facilities construction projects.
  • Experience in AEC design and construction of technology systems such as telecommunications infrastructure, cabling, and wired and wireless networks.
  • Experience with datacenters and/or critical infrastructure facilities is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Suite, and G Suite.
  • EIT, CDT, or PE certification is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, compute, and problem-solve effectively in professional settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and respond to client and team requests with strong follow-up and organization.
