Description

  • Review merged commits and pull requests before each release, identify issues, and fix problems directly through remediation pull requests.
  • Cut, merge, and tag nightly releases into main, then write release notes and send a nightly summary.
  • Adjust release cadence with the lead developer during demo sprints or crunch periods, including holding merges, cherry-picking fixes, or batching releases.
  • Triage and organize Linear issues by clarifying descriptions, acceptance criteria, priority, and status.
  • Keep project documentation current, including architecture docs, runbooks, and onboarding guides.
  • Track progress across active workstreams, maintain roadmap visibility, and flag blockers or dependencies.
  • Coordinate contributors and the deployment team to prevent duplication, resolve blockers, and keep delivery aligned.
  • Run regular syncs and provide weekly/async status updates covering progress, risks, decisions needed, and SOC 2 timeline updates.
  • Support SOC 2 readiness by coordinating evidence collection, maintaining the risk register, and managing policy updates and compliance artifacts.
  • Coordinate compliance-related activities such as onboarding/offboarding checklists, quarterly access reviews, penetration testing, and evaluation of a SOC 2 platform.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a self-organizing Scrum team in a scaled agile framework.
  • Must be a self-starter who enjoys collaborating with both the team and the client.
  • Enough technical depth to read TypeScript diffs, identify real issues, and make code fixes.
  • Comfortable writing code for remediation, including test coverage, lint fixes, config corrections, and small refactors.
  • Experience with GitHub tools such as pull requests, GitHub Actions, CI pipelines, and branch protection.
  • Experience with Linear or a similar project tracking tool.
  • Strong information organization skills for turning scattered work into clear status updates, backlogs, and documentation.
  • Experience coordinating across distributed teams and communicating blockers without direct managerial authority.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HITRUST, including awareness of auditor expectations.
  • Preferred experience with NestJS, Next.js, or TypeScript monorepos.
  • Preferred background as a TPM, dev lead, or engineering manager at a startup.
  • Hands-on experience with Vanta, Drata, or Secureframe is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as Entra ID, Key Vault, Container Apps, and Monitor is preferred.
  • Prior experience running a SOC 2 Type II readiness process end-to-end is preferred.
