Description

  • Assist with administering employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave policies.
  • Support onboarding and associate lifecycle processes related to benefits administration.
  • Monitor compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other federal and state regulations.
  • Assist with leave-of-absence administration for personal, medical, disability, and FMLA requests.
  • Support annual mandatory benefits and compensation filings, open enrollment, state and federal reporting, and 401(k) audits.
  • Respond to benefit-related questions from managers and associates and help resolve issues.
  • Prepare, distribute, review, and reconcile benefits reports, statements, and monthly benefit records.
  • Support semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll processing, data validation, and payroll submission.
  • Maintain payroll records for salaries, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and paid leave, and help resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Generate payroll reports and support audits, internal reviews, projects, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting payroll processing in a multi-state environment.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Experience with SCA is a plus.
  • Familiarity with payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
  • Experience responding to employee payroll inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must reside in the DMV area (District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia) for this remote role.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $50,000 to $70,000.
