Description

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that support the internal platform.
  • Own feature delivery from technical design through deployment and post-release support.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to clarify requirements and define pragmatic technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel/Lumen) or Python.
  • Contribute to frontend functionality using JavaScript when needed.
  • Develop APIs and integrations with internal and third-party systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Work within AWS-based infrastructure and Git-based deployment workflows.
  • Participate in structured code reviews and uphold engineering quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and contribute to architectural improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
  • Proven experience operating at a mid-senior or senior individual contributor level with feature ownership.
  • Strong backend proficiency in PHP (Laravel/Lumen) or Python.
  • Comfortable contributing across the stack, including JavaScript-based frontend work.
  • Experience building and maintaining API-driven systems.
  • Solid experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments such as AWS.
  • Familiarity with containerized applications and CI/CD workflows.
  • Ability to independently move defined features from ready-for-development to deployed production systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with Product and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a distributed team across time zones.
  • Open to leveraging AI-assisted development tools.
  • Must have a working laptop/PC, internet connection, and backup connection.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the Philippines and maintain that authorization throughout employment.
  • Pre-employment screening is required.
