Description

Serve as Scrum Master for an Agile software development team supporting customer modernization initiatives.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
Coach the team on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and continuous improvement practices.
Work with the Government Product Owner to refine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
Ensure product backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution.
Enforce the team’s Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
Remove impediments that block team progress and escalate issues when needed.
Track sprint metrics, burndown charts, velocity, team capacity, and impediment logs.
Generate Agile dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using approved tools.
Communicate sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers to government and program leadership.
Foster collaboration across engineering, DevSecOps, testing, database administration, and technical documentation teams.
Support compliance with contract requirements, Agile processes, and program reporting requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of Scrum Master experience on DoD software development programs.
Current Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), or PMI-ACP, maintained throughout employment.
Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile software development teams in a Scrum environment.
Proficiency with Government-approved Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Experience creating automated Agile reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, SDLC, and DevSecOps concepts.
Excellent facilitation, communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred: experience supporting U.S. Air Force software modernization programs.
Preferred: familiarity with the DoD Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP).
Preferred: experience working in secure cloud environments, including AWS.
Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
Preferred: experience supporting distributed or geographically dispersed Agile teams.
Preferred: familiarity with government software delivery reporting and performance metrics.
