Description

  • Serve as Scrum Master for an Agile software development team supporting customer modernization initiatives.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Coach the team on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Work with the Government Product Owner to refine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
  • Ensure product backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution.
  • Enforce the team’s Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
  • Remove impediments that block team progress and escalate issues when needed.
  • Track sprint metrics, burndown charts, velocity, team capacity, and impediment logs.
  • Generate Agile dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using approved tools.
  • Communicate sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers to government and program leadership.
  • Foster collaboration across engineering, DevSecOps, testing, database administration, and technical documentation teams.
  • Support compliance with contract requirements, Agile processes, and program reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of Scrum Master experience on DoD software development programs.
  • Current Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), or PMI-ACP, maintained throughout employment.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile software development teams in a Scrum environment.
  • Proficiency with Government-approved Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating automated Agile reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, SDLC, and DevSecOps concepts.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Preferred: experience supporting U.S. Air Force software modernization programs.
  • Preferred: familiarity with the DoD Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP).
  • Preferred: experience working in secure cloud environments, including AWS.
  • Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Preferred: experience supporting distributed or geographically dispersed Agile teams.
  • Preferred: familiarity with government software delivery reporting and performance metrics.
