Description

  • Lead the technical delivery of client projects across 2-week sprint cycles from kickoff to launch.
  • Design and build full-stack applications in TypeScript, Node.js, and React, with React Native used when needed.
  • Run sprint demos and showcases directly with clients.
  • Own day-to-day client communication via Slack and email, including updates, clarifications, and expectation management.
  • Contribute to technical proposals, project scoping, and estimates for new engagements.
  • Make pragmatic architecture and technology decisions that balance speed and quality.
  • Set the technical bar through code reviews, standards, and guidance to other engineers on your projects.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the daily workflow.
  • Act as the technical face of the company for founders, CTOs, and product leaders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years in a lead or senior-most capacity on a team or project.
  • Deep, current, hands-on expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Experience shipping production web applications end to end.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills; this is non-negotiable.
  • Daily, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Proven ability to self-manage in fully remote, low-supervision environments.
  • Client-facing experience presenting work, running demos, or communicating with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work full-time at 38 hours per week.
  • Availability for some scheduled meetings and demos during Sydney (AEST) business hours.
  • Based in the Philippines.
  • AWS experience with Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, CDK/Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • React Native production experience, including App Store or Google Play releases, is preferred.
  • Next.js production experience is preferred.
  • Agency, consultancy, or product studio background is preferred.
  • Early-stage startup experience is preferred.
