Description

  • Act as a senior technical reference in Data Engineering and set data modeling and architectural standards.
  • Lead high-impact data engineering initiatives across multiple domains.
  • Partner with Product, Finance, Engineering, and other business teams to translate strategic needs into data solutions.
  • Design, optimize, and support scalable data pipelines and data platforms.
  • Balance build-versus-buy decisions for product analytics and infrastructure.
  • Manage technical debt while improving scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Own key architectural and platform decisions for the data team.
  • Support data-driven decision-making across the company.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a senior data engineer with ownership of large-scale data pipelines and complex data architectures.
  • Strong understanding of modern data engineering practices, including data lakes, lakehouse architectures, and ETL/ELT.
  • Experience designing and operating cloud-native data platforms on AWS.
  • Strong experience with orchestration and workflow tools such as Airflow.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience building and operating batch and streaming data systems, such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Spark Streaming.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a distributed, international environment.
  • Experience with DBT and metadata/catalog tools is a plus.
  • Experience with DMS, AppFlow, or SQS/SNS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Data Mesh or domain-driven data architectures is a plus.
  • Experience delivering production-grade software systems is a plus.
  • Role is fully remote and based in Brazil.
  • Work follows Brasilia Standard Time.
  • Employment is under a CLT contract with compensation in BRL.
