Description

  • Lead small to medium technical teams by allocating work, handling technical escalations, and representing the team in Agile ceremonies and client meetings.
  • Provide technical leadership, decision-making, and mentorship to junior team members while staying hands-on in core technical areas.
  • Design and implement logical and physical data models for cloud and hybrid data warehouse environments.
  • Develop data architectures that support structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats.
  • Deliver multiple full life-cycle data warehouse implementations and related data integration solutions.
  • Create and maintain data profiling, source-to-target mappings, and implementation documentation.
  • Provision and configure Azure data service resources and support Azure-based data platform delivery.
  • Build data pipelines and integrate APIs as part of cloud architecture solutions.
  • Collaborate with project, client, and company leadership to support delivery and technical excellence.
  • Support customer migration strategies from on-premises environments to Azure.
  • Apply new technologies quickly across Microsoft and Azure data platform services.

Requirements

  • Experience leading small to medium sized technical teams.
  • Experience with work allocation/distribution, technical escalation, team support, Agile ceremonies, and client meetings.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing logical and physical data models for cloud and hybrid data warehouse environments.
  • Experience implementing data architectures for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Experience with multiple full life-cycle data warehouse implementations.
  • Understanding of data architectures required to support data integration processing.
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, ER/Win, or similar.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Platform services including Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Logic Apps, and APIs.
  • Strong Python and SQL scripting skills.
  • SQL and PySpark experience.
  • General cloud architecture capability with the ability to take requirements and build data pipelines.
  • API knowledge required; ability to create APIs preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn, adopt, and apply new technologies.
  • Experience creating strategies to migrate customers from on-premise environments to Azure preferred.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB, Data Flows, Express Route, Azure Active Directory, Power BI, semantic modeling, AWS Glue, AWS S3, AWS Athena, AWS Redshift, AWS ECS, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob, and Azure AKS.
