Description

  • Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple entities and maintain accurate accounting close processes.
  • Validate revenue recognition and prepare journal entries for accruals, depreciation, amortization, re-allocations, and deferred rent.
  • Review the general ledger, maintain balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Manage accounts receivable aging, resolve overdue invoices with Client Success, and determine allowance adjustments.
  • Oversee cash management for domestic and foreign bank accounts, including payment approvals and reconciliations.
  • Monitor banking covenants, prepare lender reporting packages, and support private equity/investor reporting.
  • Coordinate annual audits across the U.S., U.K., and Netherlands, and support tax and audit preparation with external advisors.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Lead accounting systems, controls, and process-improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and automation.
  • Mentor and develop accounting team members while fostering cross-functional collaboration and accountability.

Requirements

  • Active CPA license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of total accounting experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller leadership role.
  • SaaS or technology industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and deferred revenue.
  • Experience in private equity-backed environments and with lender covenants.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial controls, and audit readiness.
  • Very strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to take a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach.
  • Night shift schedule required.
