Description

  • Triaging inbound support cases and resolving customer support issues in a timely manner.
  • Working with other Support Engineers to assist on assigned cases as needed.
  • Answering customer questions in the Tanium community site.
  • Documenting best practices to improve support quality and customer outcomes.
  • Tracking case activity, documenting root cause, and preparing reports.
  • Serving as a technical subject matter expert with a focus on testing and troubleshooting.
  • Testing Tanium and providing feedback to Engineering teams on product improvements.
  • Working both reactively and proactively to improve the customer experience.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical career field.
  • Solid technical skills in one or more areas of networking, security, operations, scripting, and/or programming.
  • Ability to master new concepts and technologies, including the Tanium platform and modules.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to break down complex issues into ordered parts.
  • Aptitude for comprehending complex troubleshooting.
  • Good judgment with the ability to weigh cost and value in decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently with limited assistance on most tasks.
  • Prior experience and breadth of knowledge needed to support customers is preferred.
  • Hands-on Tanium experience is preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications such as Google IT Support Professional Certificate, CISSP, MCSE, A+, Security+, or Network+ are preferred.
  • Experience in endpoint security, endpoint support/troubleshooting, incident response, systems management, or utility scripting (bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python) is preferred.
