Description

  • Lead the design and development of high-performance backend services in Go.
  • Drive architectural decisions within a microservices ecosystem and define integration patterns and best practices.
  • Profile applications and optimize CPU, memory usage, garbage collection, and concurrency for maximum performance.
  • Design efficient data models and optimize PostgreSQL/MySQL queries and indexing for high read/write workloads.
  • Build observability into services through metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
  • Participate in production incident investigations and perform root cause analysis across application, networking, and operating system layers.
  • Conduct code reviews, share technical expertise, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Product, and other engineering teams to deliver production-ready features.
  • Evaluate technology choices to support scalable and reliable system design.

Requirements

  • 4–5+ years of commercial experience using Go as the primary programming language.
  • Deep understanding of Go internals, including memory management, scheduler, maps, channels, garbage collection, sync.Pool, and atomic operations.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and microservices in high-load production environments.
  • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL or MySQL, including query optimization, indexing strategies, replication, clustering, and resolving lock contention in multi-terabyte databases.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as NATS and Apache Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of architectural trade-offs related to latency and persistence in messaging systems.
  • Solid understanding of Linux internals, networking fundamentals, virtualization, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues effectively.
  • Experience with high-load production environments.
  • Preferred experience with Docker/Kubernetes and distributed systems troubleshooting.
