Description

  • Develop, test, and deploy backend software solutions using Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
  • Design and contribute to backend systems and participate in key architectural decisions.
  • Support new country launches, new products, and new feature development through backend platform work.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure tooling.
  • Manage schema evolution and production data migrations.
  • Optimize backend performance through profiling, caching, and JVM tuning.
  • Maintain code quality and consistency through best practices and code reviews.
  • Create and maintain clear, concise technical documentation.
  • Help advance engineering processes and standards for a highly available, scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with databases, including SQL and/or NoSQL, and data migrations.
  • Familiarity with message brokers or event-driven architectures such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience deploying services at the infrastructure level.
