Description

  • Develop Tailscale’s product by contributing to client code and backend services.
  • Focus on iOS and Android development while also contributing to shared code for macOS, Windows, and other client platforms.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
  • Share code across multiple targets and platforms.
  • Support the latest Apple and Android platform features while maintaining compatibility with older systems.
  • Work with mobile VPN infrastructure and related client functionality.
  • Collaborate with highly technical teams in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Help move the product forward in an early-stage startup setting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and/or Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and the capabilities and limitations of mobile platforms.
  • Experience with general networking concepts such as DNS, VPNs, IP networking, and routing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to give and process constructive feedback and work independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of a startup.
  • Proficiency in Go is desirable.
  • Prior Go experience is not required.
