Description

  • Monitor SIEM systems and other security tools for suspicious activity and real-time alerts.
  • Triage, prioritize, and analyze security alerts, network traffic, log data, and system events to identify incidents.
  • Follow incident response playbooks to investigate, contain, and help remediate security incidents.
  • Support root cause analysis of breaches and vulnerabilities alongside senior analysts.
  • Assist with vulnerability scanning, false-positive review, and prioritization of remediation efforts.
  • Coordinate with IT and development teams to ensure timely patching and security updates.
  • Document incidents, investigations, mitigation actions, and related security procedures accurately and on time.
  • Help create and update security SOPs and basic security reports.
  • Develop training materials and participate in security awareness campaigns.
  • Educate colleagues on security best practices such as phishing prevention and password hygiene.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Systems Administration with a focus on Endpoint Management and IT operations in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with ITIL best practices, network security, compliance, and vendor management.
  • Experience managing and supporting multiple operating systems, including Apple, Microsoft, and Google, is required.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems and technologies, including network architecture, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex technical issues.
  • Experience planning, implementing, and delivering IT projects.
  • Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Leadership and team management experience, including setting objectives and monitoring progress.
  • Ability to align IT strategy with business goals and make data-driven decisions on infrastructure, budget, and technology selection.
  • Preferred certifications include ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), CompTIA A+, Network+, and CISSP.
  • Experience partnering with Help Desk and SecOps teams is valued.
