Description

  • Perform basic to intermediate security reviews and identify high-risk gaps in security architecture.
  • Develop security risk management plans and recommend countermeasures and controls for data security and privacy risks.
  • Conduct third-party data security risk assessments, project security assessments, business risk assessments, and security testing.
  • Monitor security platforms and serve as the lead point of contact for day-to-day administration of security tools.
  • Assess threats and vulnerabilities across computer systems to develop security risk profiles.
  • Lead incident response activities, recognize security violations, and escalate or resolve issues appropriately.
  • Gather and provide evidence for security compliance reviews, audits, cybersecurity incidents, and regulator requests.
  • Track audit findings and ensure mitigation actions are completed within required timeframes.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, vendors, contractors, and senior leaders.
  • Validate data collected for security reporting and communicate security requirements and best practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Experience applying risk-based security methodologies to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
  • Experience performing common to intermediate security risk assessments and security reviews.
  • Knowledge of IT and assurance-related disciplines.
  • Ability to identify, document, and communicate data security and data privacy risks.
  • Ability to work with senior leaders, data owners, data custodians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong judgment and ability to act on multiple inputs in security decisions.
  • Experience supporting audits, security compliance reviews, or regulator requests.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CIPP, or equivalent certification is desirable.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification upon hire is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft 365 Suite and Quickbase.
