Description

  • Maintain a high security bar for new and existing infrastructure, including logging and infrastructure oversight.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust AWS infrastructure for Tactacam's services and applications.
  • Implement DevOps best practices across software teams, including shift-left and self-service approaches.
  • Collaborate with backend, frontend, hardware, BI, and ERP teams to streamline workflows and tooling.
  • Refine and maintain monitoring and observability tooling to triage issues, estimate impact, identify root cause, and resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate deployments and support code quality.
  • Build processes and tooling to manage end-user devices across internal and vendor-provided systems.
  • Identify unmanaged infrastructure and resources, and create infrastructure as code and monitoring for governance.
  • Monitor and help manage AWS and other cloud costs.
  • Stay current on industry trends and recommend improvements to DevOps practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with AWS services and infrastructure management.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipelines, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, bash/shell, or Python for automation and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures, particularly AWS Lambda.
  • Experience with AWS CDK.
  • Experience with Datadog.
  • Experience with Terraform.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Experience leading focused technical projects as a Senior Engineer or independently driving small to medium projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Motivation to drive change and improve internal processes.
  • Experience with user-facing applications serving over 1 million users is preferred.
  • AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, are preferred.
  • Experience with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch is preferred.
  • Experience testing and deploying device firmware is preferred.
  • Experience with traditional QA workflows is a plus.
  • Experience with iOS/Android build pipelines is preferred.
