Description

  • Own the Essentials platform, including analyses, workflows, and the Data Hub that ingests and reconciles HR and compensation data.
  • Lead multiple engineering teams across the Essentials product surface and support managers and engineers in raising their impact.
  • Set the roadmap, delivery cadence, and quality bar for what ships, when it ships, and how it performs.
  • Partner closely with product, GTM, and customer success to align delivery with customer and business needs.
  • Drive platform modernization, including AI-augmented engineering practices and agent-friendly architecture.
  • Improve customer outcomes by reducing time-to-value for new customers and friction for existing customers.
  • Work cross-functionally with peer engineering and product leaders on shared workstreams and priorities.
  • Build, level, and grow a high-performing engineering team through hiring and development.

Requirements

  • Experience owning a multi-team, customer-facing engineering organization at meaningful scale, ideally in B2B SaaS serving enterprise customers.
  • Track record of shipping products repeatedly and improving them while operating in live customer environments.
  • Ability to think in systems and outcomes, and to manage a roadmap, budget, and team together.
  • Hands-on experience using modern AI tooling to change how teams build software.
  • Strong partnership skills with product and GTM teams, including creating predictable delivery rhythms for sales, customer success, and marketing.
  • Direct, candid, high-trust communication style and willingness to push back when needed.
  • Bias toward action and learning over perfect planning.
  • Preferred: experience in HR tech, compensation systems, HRIS integrations, or pay equity/pay analytics.
  • Preferred: background scaling data-heavy platforms, including ingestion, normalization, customer-specific schemas, and multi-tenant data modeling.
  • Preferred: experience leading a product through a meaningful re-platforming or AI-native rebuild.
