Description

  • Own web product experiences end-to-end across key member-facing flows.
  • Take full design ownership of web journeys while balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Use a test-and-learn approach informed by data, usability insights, and user feedback.
  • Partner with product managers, tech leads, and engineers to co-design solutions and ensure smooth handoff.
  • Collaborate with other designers and cross-functional teams to maintain consistency across Sword's products.
  • Contribute to the broader design system.
  • Design AI-led product experiences that combine human and AI interactions.
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate the design workflow where appropriate.
  • Stay curious about product performance and identify what is working and what is not.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on web flows, multi-step experiences, or user-facing products.
  • A portfolio showing measurable impact, strong taste and craft, and a clear point of view.
  • Pro-level Figma skills and the ability to prototype quickly.
  • Strong accessibility knowledge, including WCAG, and a commitment to inclusive design.
  • Ability to read and interpret data.
  • Understanding of design systems.
  • Thoughtful use of AI in the design process, including knowing when it helps and when it does not.
  • Experience designing AI-led product experiences.
  • Experience designing complex web flows, onboarding, multi-step forms, or content-rich surfaces, preferred.
  • Background across product verticals or platforms with shared web infrastructure, preferred.
  • Frontend knowledge and understanding of how design decisions affect development, preferred.
  • Experience with analytics tools, preferred.
  • Side projects or products built independently, preferred.
  • Health-tech experience, preferred but not required.
  • Must be based in Portugal and hold a valid EU visa.
  • No relocation assistance is provided.
