Description

  • Design, build, maintain, and extend products, features, and functionality that solve customer problems.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to discover and validate customer needs and technical approaches.
  • Prototype quickly to de-risk projects, test assumptions, and turn ideas into production-ready solutions.
  • Deliver incremental value by anticipating dependencies, breaking down work, and demoing progress regularly.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs, present system design proposals, and document architectural decisions.
  • Apply modern software engineering practices to build robust, maintainable, and extensible systems.
  • Uplevel teammates through code reviews, pairing, and collaboration.
  • Own your code and product domain while participating in retrospectives and continuous improvement.
  • Work across the stack, contributing to backend services and modern frontend applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience building scalable cloud-based services.
  • Experience building real-time data processing systems.
  • Strong experience in at least one of Java, Python, or Node/JavaScript.
  • Comfort building modern frontend applications; Vue.js is a plus.
  • Experience building and consuming APIs.
  • Proficiency with SQL and non-relational databases, including schema and data modeling decisions.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and services; AWS is preferred.
  • Comfort applying modern AI tools to accelerate development and improve quality.
  • Must be open to candidates in most U.S. locations, Ontario, or British Columbia; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Experience across the stack and with major MV* frameworks is welcomed.

  • US salary range of $130,000 to $180,000.
  • Canadian salary range of $140,000 to $190,000.
