Description

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for web products, websites, and internal services using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Support the gradual migration of deployment processes from Jenkins to GitLab CI.
  • Ensure stable, repeatable, and predictable deployments with rollback mechanisms and minimal manual steps.
  • Configure and maintain Docker-based runtime environments for web applications and services.
  • Standardize Docker, docker-compose, deployment scripts, and runtime configurations to reduce rework.
  • Administer Linux servers in production, including setup, patch management, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
  • Automate infrastructure setup, configuration management, and maintenance processes using Ansible and Bash.
  • Support web infrastructure components such as Nginx, SSL/TLS, reverse proxy, routing, Cloudflare, DNS, caching, and basic security rules.
  • Set up, maintain, and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.
  • Analyze deployment failures and production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and propose preventive actions.
  • Support backup and restore operations, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting for MySQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Implement and maintain security practices for Linux and web infrastructure, including hardening, access control, updates, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Document infrastructure decisions, deployment workflows, configurations, and important changes.
  • Coordinate production changes with the team, communicate risks clearly, and proactively address infrastructure weaknesses that could impact stability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience administering Linux servers in production environments, including systemd, networking, firewall, SSH, logging, storage, processes, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, WebSockets, reverse proxy, routing, and network diagnostics.
  • Practical experience with Docker and docker-compose, including runtime environments, networking, volumes, debugging, and optimization.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD, including automated deployment, rollback, and downtime reduction.
  • Experience automating infrastructure and configuration management with Ansible.
  • Experience with Nginx for reverse proxy, SSL, routing, and web application deployment.
  • Understanding of SRE principles, including reliability, observability, incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Promtail, Sentry, or similar solutions, plus alerting strategy design.
  • Basic to intermediate experience administering MySQL/PostgreSQL, including backup/restore, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of Linux and web infrastructure security best practices, including hardening, access control, SSL/TLS, patching, and vulnerability handling.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including issue isolation, root cause analysis, and preventive action planning.
  • Self-sufficiency and ownership of infrastructure tasks end to end.
  • English proficiency at Intermediate (B1) level or higher.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with Cloudflare and Terraform is a plus.
  • Experience supporting a large number of production hosts and modernizing legacy infrastructure is a plus.
  • Understanding of high-availability solutions such as Keepalived, replication, and failover is a plus.
  • Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, and Memcached is a plus.
  • Understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL replication is a plus.
  • Basic Python or Go skills are a plus.
  • Experience administering WordPress or headless WordPress is a plus.
  • Experience conducting post-incident reviews and RCA is a plus.
