Description

  • Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to assigned clients while ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and other federal regulations.
  • Support client onboarding for assigned engagements according to the defined process.
  • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable management, bookkeeping entries, monthly close activities, and financial reporting and analysis.
  • Work directly with clients to provide guidance and maintain effective day-to-day relationships.
  • Collaborate with managers and team members to ensure timely communication and strong client service.
  • Discover, implement, and support accounting software and other tools to improve client service and efficiency.
  • Manage and document internal workflow processes within established procedures and budget parameters.
  • Participate in recurring team and one-on-one video check-in meetings to stay aligned on goals.
  • Embrace coaching and feedback, and implement changes to meet team and client objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly close, and financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong experience in federal government contracting.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and other federal regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or QuickBooks Government Edition.
  • Availability to work part-time, 25-30 hours per week.
  • Availability to work during traditional business hours, 8:00 am–5:00 pm EST, CST, MST, or PST.
  • Commitment to maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling client data.
  • Comfort learning and embracing new technology.
  • Preferred experience managing client relationships and working within established processes and budget parameters.
